Fasika Ethiopian Restaurant is a family owned and operated restaurant. In 2016, Kansas our family opened this restaurant and It is serving great foods all over the city. Experienced Ethiopian chef cooks our food . They go through the typical rigorous process and prepares awesome tasty foods.

Ethiopian cuisine consists of vegetable and very spicy meat dishes. To eat a thick stew, served atop,  injera  made glutton free large sourdough flatbread  and which is about 50 centimeters (20 inches) in diameter and made out of fermented eff flour. Ethiopians eat exclusively with their right hands. They use pieces of injurer to pick up bites of entrees and side dishes. The Ethiopian Orthodox Church prescribes a number of fasting  periods.Because of  Wednesdays, Fridays, and the entire Lenten season.  Ethiopian cuisine contains many dishes that are vegan, but there is non-veg also.Ethiopian dishes are the best choice if you are vegetarian or vegan.

Ethiopian food is uncomplicated and healthy and It is really delicious . Most dishes begin with a bread so Injera is the staple of the Ethiopian diet. It is a light, slightly spongy and pancake-like bread. This is placed first on the plate to hold whatever comes after.

Imagine the scent of any exotic spice so you have ever experienced. Now imagine dozens of them, filling the air and mixing together in perfect harmony. You may pick out a stray scent of cumin, garlic, onion, curry, ginger or peppers but You may never be able to place them all.

The dish may be chicken or lamb or beef and lentils, split peas or other vegetables, simmered into a savory stew served over fresh injera. More fresh injera is customarily served on the side and cut into small rolls. Because The injera is torn off in small pieces and You need to grab it and eat it.

There is very little fat involves in cooking.Because Chef trims meats thoroughly and cleans. The ingredients are all fresh and natural. So, That makes Ethiopian food some of the most healthful in the world. Dried spice combines Ethiopian cooking lend a rich, piquant taste to many dishes. All in all, it is food that is exotic, healthy and extremely satisfying. Topped off with a cup of strong, hot Ethiopian coffee, it is a wonderful way to feed the body and experience something of another world at the same time. Fasika, feast.
