We help “Drivers” and “Public Vehicle for Hire Companies” in the District of Columbia – from “DWI’s” to “Tickets” to “Accidents”. If it concerns transportation we know how to proceed and get a good result. The service is comprehensive. For example, even if your right to drive is effected by an “Immigration” issue we can help.
Established in 1997.
The transportation focus of my practice began in 1991 when I became a Traffic Court Judge at the District of Columbia Bureau of Traffic Adjudication. I developed expertise in the unique adjudication process and traffic laws of the District. Ed Kearney, known as “the traffic lawyer” appreciated this expertise and asked me to purchase his practice when he retired. I agreed, left the agency and assumed the mantle of “The Traffic Lawyer” in 1997. Since that beginning we have adjudicated and tried thousands of criminal and civil matters including DWI’s and major and minor traffic offenses. Our practice gained national and international recognition when we filed a “Class Action” suit to challenge the “Red Light/Photo Radar” program. Recently, as many of our clients are immigrants, we have expanded to provide “Immigration” services. We do what must be done to protect our clients and we do it well.
Graduated from Sidwell Friends HS in 1971 and Cornell University in 1975. Completed legal studies at The Cornell Law School in 1978. Clerked for NY State Assemblyman Sam McNeil. During this phase I founded a “Youth Court” program which was one of the first of it’s kind in the nation. “Ben” of “Ben & Jerry’s trained me as a mediator at the “Dispute Resolution Center” of Ithaca, NY. I returned to the District of Columbia and worked as an Administrative Law Judge, first for the Public Schools and then for The Bureau of Traffic Adjudication. I left the agency in 1997 to become the principle in my law office. I have been married to Martha Lee 34 years and we have 3 children. Horace III runs the law practice. Alexandria is a Harvard Law graduate. Ashleigh is an interior designer. My joy is the family and our adventures. In the spring of 2016 Martha & I will open a bed & breakfast at our property in Silver Spring, Md. That’s next adventure.
